Smart & Biggar invites you to a breakfast and conversation about what it means to employ ‘wellness’ in life and in business.

Joined by a panel of local female founders, we will explore wellness through a holistic lens, address stereotypes and breakdown the elements involved in maintaining financial, physical and emotional well-being.

‘Deconstructing Wellness’ is hosted by Smart & Biggar as part of International Womxn’s Week at Invest Ottawa and the f2 Female Founders event series.

Meet the panel:

Michelle Martin
Lead Enagement Associate, BDO
Michelle has over 30 years of experience as a Chartered Professional Accountant in Canada, and more than 20 years as a Certified Public Accountant in the U.S. She was a sole practitioner running her own accounting firm for 9 years, when in 2015 she merged with BDO Canada LLP in Ottawa. Michelle formerly sat on the Board of Directors for the Orleans Chamber of Commerce and the Gloucester Skating Club. She has 2 teenage daughters who keep her on her toes!

Ro Nwosu
Owner, Movement Yoga and Fitness Studio
Engaging and energetic, Ro is all about making movement a fun experience, believing that every BODY is meant to move, regarless of size or shape.
Ro is real about her moments with yoga, family life and more. She is connected to her community and is avidly involved in a variety of events that allow her to share her expertise with youth, adults and seniors in Renfrew County and around the province.

Janet Seto
The Social Architect, Janet Seto Consulting
A dot connector at heart with the uncanny ability to carry her Rolodex in her head, Janet helps clients grow their businesses by making the right connections. This led her to be voted in as WOW Ambassador of the Year 2016 and appointed the Director of H.UB Inc Ottawa in 2018.
Passionate to help others, Janet works with service-based businesses to help them build prosperous networks and then maximize them!

Jen Wright
Owner, Whole Therapy Ottawa
Jen is the founder and co-owner of Whole Therapy, a unique and collaborative multidisciplinary clinic that comprises physiotherapy, massage therapy, chiropractic, and personal training.
Jen has been a Registered Massage Therapist since 2006, and a personal trainer since 2001. She is the recipient of the 2019 FEBE Award for Entrepreneur of the Year, and a 3 time BYA Nominee.

Susan is co-founder and Managing Partner of numbercrunch, inc. – which provides outsourced finance teams to scaling businesses. She is actively involved in the community, serving as Co-Chair of Invest Ottawa / ICBY and she also sits on the Board of the Kanata North Business Association. A supporter of gender equity initiatives, Susan has previously sat on the Board of Equal Voice and is an Advisor at AmbiSHEous.
