Breakfast on the Rideau

Operation Come Home is pleased to announce that this year’s Breakfast on the Rideau keynote speaker will be the co-founder of Second Cup, Frank O’Dea. Mr. O’Dea started his company with a kiosk in a mall, which grew to the empire that it is today, but what few people know is that he, himself, was once homeless on the streets of Toronto. Living day to day and panhandling for money to stay in a flophouse each night, Mr. O’Dea eventually determined that he needed to change or die. What guided him through the next pivotal years of his life was a combination of “hope, vision and action”. Mr. O’Dea will share his story and why these components were so crucial to his success at the Breakfast on The Rideau event on September 19th, 2019 with his presentation of “The Power of Hope Vision Action” as described in the details below.

The event will be catered by the talented team of FoodWorks, a social enterprise of Operation Come Home. Former youth will also take some time to share their success stories and how hope, vision and action allowed them to find their paths to success.

The Breakfast on the Rideau always promises a great start to your morning as it features inspirational stories, a well-balanced breakfast and a change of scenery from the office – all while supporting a worthy charitable cause! We are very much looking forward to hosting your breakfast on the 19th of September – purchase your tickets today!
