Social media is about so much more than taking pictures of our food or pets and sharing them online, it can be a useful tool for marketing your products and services to your target audience and curating and advertising your lifestyle and brand. Love it or hate it – social media is an important part of your marketing strategy. Learn about different content types, the different sharing platforms and what might work best for your business. Learn how to plan and create a month’s worth of content in a few hours. Learn how to use the tools that will make creating and scheduling your content easier such as Canva and Hootsuite.
If your business could use some help with social media, or you feel like social media is taking up all of your time and running you rather than you running your social media accounts this workshop is for you!
What to bring with you:
- Your product (to use in photos)
- A description of your product or service
- Lifestyle props (example – if you are a web developer you may want to use your laptop as a prop or if your product is a camping utensil set – you may want to bring along other camping gear to stage with your product
- Your laptop – so that you can learn to use software to edit, create and schedule post
- Your branding guide (Colours / Fonts) if you have one
- Your iPhone or camera to take photos
No experience necessary to participate in this workshop, if you do not have a laptop please let us know prior to the workshop so that we can reserve a loaner laptop for you.
