Electric Cars for Greenies

The Electric Vehicle Council of Ottawa (http://www.EVCO.ca) is hosting May’s Green Drinks. Join EVCO for a presentation and discussion on electric cars.

EVCO members will present some of the key benefits of electric car ownership and how it is not all about being green, electric cars are just better cars. Owner will lead a discussion on the impacts of electric cars and will answer questions you might have. Walking, cycling and public transport are the greenest options, but car-free is not an option for all and an electric car is then the greenest and best choice.

Presenters:

Raymond Leury – Raymond has been driving his electric car for 5 years and is involved with promoting electric cars locally, provincially and nationally. Raymond is a Climate Reality Leader.

Kathleen and Matthew Eglin – Kathleen and Matthew are accidental activists, buying their first electric car in summer 2017 after living off-grid on a boat for a year. This purchase sent them down the rabbit hole of electric car ownership with Electric Alice. They blog at http://www.eglin.net/electricalice/
