In today’s age of automation, RBC is focused on empowering Canadian youth for the jobs of tomorrow and on identifying practical solutions to equip youth ages 15-29 with the capacity to develop relevant skills and experience in the age of disruption. Many young people are interested in working in tech – but what does that really mean? How do you know if your skillsets are a match for a technology company? How can you find the right fit for your next co-op or job?
RBC & Invest Ottawa are pleased to host “Hackers, Hipsters, Hustlers,” a free event for students and young professionals that will help you determine your tech personality and teach you and a group of your peers to design your own app. At the end of the event, you’ll have the opportunity to present your newly created app and win prize money. You’ll also receive guidance on how to continue to improve your skillset and incorporate learning opportunities like this into your resume and LinkedIn profiles. Breakfast and refreshments will be provided.
As space is limited, completion of this form is essential to register your attendance. Please register only if you are able to attend the event in its entirety.
PLEASE NOTE EQUIPMENT NEEDS: As this session is interactive and will be taught online, it would be best if you can come prepared with your own laptop and ability to connect to Wi-Fi. We will have a very limited supply of laptops that can be borrowed (first come, first served). If you require a laptop, please contact Jessica Jennings at jess[email protected] before completing this registration form.
