Your Intellectual Property Assets in a Global Space: Creating and Preserving Value
As an entrepreneur, it is important to establish ownership of your company’s assets when it comes to intellectual property (IP) matters. To succeed in today’s market, IP protection must be sought as it will differentiate you from your competition.
Thinking about pitching to a VC or an angel investor – wondering if IP matters, the answer is yes! For some companies, intangible assets can account for at least 80% of a business’s value, for this reason it is crucial to start thinking about your IP strategy from the very beginning. Want to learn how to safeguard your IP but you’re unsure if you can afford to, then join John Koh, of Marks & Clerk, for an exclusive and engaging workshop as he guides you through the benefits and costs of establishing an IP strategy and discusses patent protection both domestically and internationally. You will learn the value of IP and how to leverage it to your company’s commercial advantage.
Topics to be discussed include:
- Overview of the patent system
- A guide through the patent process – where to file and why
- How an intellectual property portfolio can improve your company valuation
- Planning and budgeting for your intellectual property portfolio
This event is targeted at Founders including: entrepreneurs, start-ups, SME’s and those who are looking to delve into the world of intellectual property.
