The objective of this seminar is to enable entrepreneurs wishing to start a restaurant business to acquire a basic understanding of the many facts they need to consider before embarking on an investment in a restaurant project. Entrepreneurs will discover the characteristics of a restaurant owner and will learn the step by step approach of the planning phase of a restaurant business.
Speaker Bio: Mounir Sami
Mounir is a multi-lingual Hotel General Manager with 40 years of international hotel and restaurant experience. He was employed by Hilton International, Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Ramada International, Holiday Inns Canada and Corinthia International Luxury Hotels & Resorts. He specializes in helping professional owners and operators of hotels, restaurants and bars solve problems by finding practical solutions aimed at growing their market share and improving their profits by means of personalized professional advice, guidance, mentoring and developing achievable action plans. As a Mentor at Invest Ottawa, he assists entrepreneurs with their projects and takes an active role in advisory boards. Mounir also provides consultation on behalf of BDC. He sees the hospitality industry from a manager’s or an owner’s point of view because he was one of them before.
