The Ottawa Community Loan Fund (OCLF) and the Local Employment Planning Council (LEPC) are collaborating on an Ontario Trillium Foundation research project called “ReNEWing Established Businesses”. The study is exploring the potential of bringing together immigrants interested in running a business in Canada with small and medium enterprise (SME) owners who may be looking at business transitions. A survey is being conducted to gauge the interest and perceived challenges from both recent immigrants (potential buyers) and SME owners (potential sellers) in Ottawa.
