Presenter: Brenda Richardson
Brenda Richardson is Director of Sector Development at the Centre for Social Enterprise Development (CSED). CSED provides a range of supports to aspiring and established social enterprises, as well as those looking to support the sector through purchasing, financing, and capacity building.
She has worked extensively in the social enterprise sector for over a decade, fueling the development of dozens of social businesses, as well as infrastructure to support the sector more broadly in Ottawa. Her recent work at CSED is focused on fostering clusters and accelerators that can grow the sector collectively while increasing the financial and social impact of each business. Brenda brings more than 25 years experience in the private and non-profit sectors including work entrepreneurship, community economic development, and micro-credit. She is passionate about the value and potential of social enterprise and the role it can play in achieving social, economic and environmental goals.
