You are cordially invited to the Zhongguancun (ZGC) – Ontario Entrepreneurship Exchange @ Ottawa (ZONE-X @ Ottawa) Information Session event organized by ZGC Innovation Center @ Ottawa (ZICO). ZICO was jointly established by the ZGC Group and the Invest Ottawa since 2013 as a two-way channel to promote the deep cooperation in the innovation area between Beijing and Ottawa.
Based on the strategic cooperation agreement between the ZGC Group and the Invest Ottawa, ZICO is committed to linking the innovation elements in Ottawa and ZGC, providing consulting and connection services, and conducting extensive scientific and technological innovation exchanges and cooperation. ZICO has leased office space and ancillary event facilities of Bayview Yards and would organize a series of networking events in the near future.

12:00 PM – 12:10 PM Brief Introduction to Ottawa, Canada’s innovation capital, and opportunities for collaboration between Canada-China.
Speaker: Ms.Sophie Chen, Market Director for the Asia-Pacific region at Invest Ottawa.
12:10 PM – 13:00 PM ZGC Information session. It would feature an introduction about the advantages of ZGC including attractive supporting policy and excellent innovation ecosystem, ZGC Group’s business development, ZICO’s vision and initiatives, and invitation of a delegation mission to ZGC in November.
Speaker: Dr. Guojie Qi, Representative at ZGC Innovation Centre @ Ottawa. Dr. Qi previously worked as a research scientist at the University of Kentucky, USA, and as a visiting scholar at Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization, Australia. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from Department of Energy and Power Engineering at Tsinghua University, China.

Location: Rogers Room, first floor of Bayview Yards, 7 Bayview Station Rd, Ottawa.
This event would be a good opportunity to gather useful information if you are planning to establish a high-tech company or marketize your technology in China.
