The building design and construction process involves numerous participants, each filling a part. It is therefore important for the entrepreneur to understand these roles and how the entire group of the design and construction team interacts as the project moves from concept through construction.
This session is designed for entrepreneurs who are looking to take the next step in their business to expand into a commercial space (i.e. office, retail, restaurant, etc.) where renovations are required to suit their growing and expanding operation and needs. The intent of this session is to offer entrepreneurs the knowledge of the design and construction process of commercial space to be better prepared when planning to move out of their home office. This session is not intended for contractors who are looking to learn about the construction industry.

Speaker Bio: Al Salah is a professional engineer and is the owner and president of ALFA+ Project Leaders. He has worked in the consulting engineering field for the past 15 years.
During his career he has been the principal engineer on hundreds of projects from inception to closeout phases. His project experience is in the Residential, Industrial, Commercial and Institutional construction sectors. He has worked with other consultants in the construction industry and his knowledge include systems in the mechanical, civil, structural and architectural fields.
He has strong business and technical abilities. He has successfully designed and managed a number of construction projects, acquired a sense of construction principle and dealt with regulatory bodies for design and construction compliance.
