Green is the New Black: Ottawa’s Green Economy Showcase

On Saturday, August 26th from 12-3pm, the Social Planning Council of Ottawa is hosting a Green Economy Showcase as part of our Community Economic Development initiatives. The showcase will feature 100% local businesses and organizations that are growing with Ottawa’s « Green Economy ». Here, you can find out what green jobs and opportunities look like now, and discover the potential for Ottawa’s future in green industries and business. We also want to create space where ideas can be shared and discussions can be started about the future of a green and sustainable Ottawa! To contribute to this space, we are lucky enough to have Ottawa’s Renewable Energy Co-op providing a talk on community investment in solar power.
This event is free and open to everyone. Food will be provided, including vegan/gluten-free options.

We hope to see you at this vibrant and engaging event!
