The 2017 Juno Host Committee is pleased to invite you to attend “Ottawa as a Music City”, Friday, March 31st, from 10am to 1pm 2017 at The Ottawa Innovation Centre at Bayview Yards (7 Bayview Road). This engaging panel discussion, moderated by the CBC Ottawa ‘s Giacomo Panico, will feature diverse speakers including Amy Terrill, VP of Music Canada, Emmanuelle Hébert (Conseillère aux industries culturelles et créatives, Service de la culture Ville de Montréal), Kelly Symes (General Manager – Festival of Small Halls Ontario), artist/entrepreneur Kathleen Edwards (Quitters Coffee) and Lixar ‘s Shelley Fraser – advocates for the role that music industries can play in building sustainable, vibrant cities.

Ottawa has the opportunity to utilize its local music industries to attract business, professional talent, create enviable quality of life, and generate economic activity. From fostering and retaining local artists to building a rich sector ecosystem, this panel will explore the role that all stakeholders can play in building a Music City.
