Women Entrepreneurs in Science

Turning your scientific background and innovations into successful businesses comes with its own challenges. Patent applications, funding, pitch, and business training are some of the few subjects women entrepreneurs in science deal with on regular bases.
Join us to discuss the challenges and opportunities that brings starting and owning a business as a woman and as an immigrant.

We are partnering with the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) to discuss the Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP) as well as the Government of Canada’s Women Entrepreneurship Strategy (WES).
Bring your personal experiences to share and co-storm actions with our guests and other attendees.

This is a brown bag event, please bring your own lunch to enjoy during the event. Coffee and drinks will be served courtesy of the NRC.
