Workshop to register in the Supplier Registration Information (SRI) system and the Indigenous Business Directory (IBD) for Indigenous-led businesses

Workshop to register in the Supplier Registration Information (SRI) system and in the Indigenous Business Directory (IBD)

Last year, the Government of Canada announced a commitment to allocate 5% of federal contracts to businesses managed and led by Indigenous Peoples.

Did you know that you need to be registered in the Supplier Registration Information (SRI) system and the Indigenous Business Directory (IBD) to be awarded federal contracts set aside for Indigenous businesses?

By registering in both systems, you make your company’s name and supply capabilities widely known to federal departments and agencies, who may use these systems to identify sources of supply for the goods and services they buy.

Procurement Assistance Canada (PAC) and Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) would like to invite Indigenous businesses to workshop to register in SRI and IBD.

What is SRI?

SRI is a database of registered companies interested in selling to the federal government.

What is IBD?

IBD is a database designed to assist and support Indigenous businesses in the pursuit of business opportunities, including federal procurement.

What should you expect from this workshop?

At the end of the workshop, you will be registered in both systems. You will obtain your Procurement Business Number (PBN) which is a mandatory requirement to do business with the federal government.
