About this Webinar

With most employees working remotely during the pandemic, “workplaces” have fundamentally changed. Most employers report having a positive experience with remote work. In addition, they have seen cost savings and are eying more. Many employers are now signaling that working remotely is here to stay in some form or another. When the pandemic ends, employees will no longer be required to work from home and both employers and employees will have to settle on a new norm. In this workshop, Jim Anstey of Nelligan Law will discuss the legal considerations of remote work, the fundamental elements of a remote-work policy, jurisdictional issues and more.

About the Speaker: Jim Anstey

Jim Anstey is a lawyer in the Employment Law group at Nelligan Law. Throughout his career, Jim has practised primarily in the areas of labour and employment law and health law.

Jim’s practice involves providing advice on every aspect of the employment relationship, including hiring, employee terminations, discipline, accommodation, human rights and occupational health and safety (including workplace violence and harassment). He regularly advises on the necessity and adequacy of workplace policies.
