About the Speaker:

Mailyne K. Briggs

Mailyne K. Briggs (she/her) is an artist and entrepreneur. She owns and operates Kilam Media, providing digital media marketing services and content creation primarily to BIPOC artists, small businesses and nonprofits.

Recently she helped to co-found Firegrove Studio, Ottawa’s first all-women-of-colour, full-service content creation and production studio.

Mailyne began accessibility training after learning her friend’s child was blind. She has completed AODA training, workshops with Accessibility Canada, edX, and volunteered with A.R.T. In Action running programs for families and youth at Ability First Ottawa, VIEWS and the Canadian Institute for the Blind.
