The next wave of Ottawa innovation is being built right now in university labs. On November 12, you can meet the people behind it before they’ve raised a dollar, hired a team or made the headlines.

At Discovery to Innovation (D2i), dozens of uOttawa research teams present discoveries they aim to bring to market. They’re not looking for applause. They’re looking for the right people: investors, industry partners, advisors and future collaborators.

Why you should be in the room

Early access: see promising science-based technologies at the earliest stage, when getting involved matters most.

Projects ready for partnership: from AI-designed cancer therapies and new weapons against superbugs to infrared sensing without cryogenic cooling, these teams are looking for industry collaborators.

Talent you won’t find on job boards: meet the researchers and graduate students who could become your next hires or partners.

Real-world lessons from a founder: keynote speaker Professor Rob Ben turned a discovery from his uOttawa lab into PanTHERA CryoSolutions, now part of a Nasdaq-listed company. He’ll share what made it work and what he’d do differently.

The right network in one room: researchers, founders, investors and industry leaders from across the capital region, followed by a networking reception.
