Canada’s Oil & Gas: An Industry of Innovation
An Ottawa Showcase Event
When most people think of innovation, they don’t generally think of the oil and gas industry. And yet out of all research and development spent in the energy sector in 2016, the fossil fuels industry was responsible for 75%.These investments are leading to innovations that will position Canada as a global leader in producing clean hydrocarbon energy.
The billions of dollars spent every year by oil and gas companies will benefit the entire economy, creating new environmental technologies to significantly improve environmental performance in Canada and create new, next generation exports. Hear about how these innovations will help lower the emissions footprint of this critical industry, while at the same time accelerating the growth of a whole new clean tech ecosystem.
