Sponsors have the opportunity to meet with small business founders, scaling Ottawa firms, and international organizations seeking to establish an Ottawa presence. Sponsors form beneficial relationships that provide companies with the knowledge and network needed to scale and grow. We are seeking expressions of interest from accounting firms who meet the following criteria:
- Must be headquartered or have a significant presence in Ottawa (at least 5 accountants with Chartered Professional Accountant certification)
- History of working with startups and SMEs with a demonstrated ability to meet the unique needs of these founders
- Ability to provide affordably priced or sliding scale services for early stage startups
- Extensive experience working with multinational companies and providing guidance for their incorporation and establishment in Canada including but not limited to expertise in government incentives such as SR&ED, company structuring, and cross-border tax implications
- Dedicated to supporting the Ottawa innovation ecosystem from early stage founders through to large, international companies
