About ANG:
The entrepreneurial journey can feel isolating at the best of times. With COVID-19 and rolling lockdowns, it’s even more important to band together and support our fellow entrepreneurs.
That’s the idea behind The Authentic Networking Group (ANG), a virtual space for business owners to connect, commiserate, and help each other out.
Through regular sessions, ANG offers a platform to openly share and hear other members’ business struggles, pivot success stories, and resources that have helped us through. It’s our hope that your time at ANG will leave you with a network of supportive, business-minded individuals.
If you identify with any or all of these statements, this group is for you:
- Sharing is caring: if I have information that might be helpful to someone else, I want to share it.
- There’s power in numbers: I find group brain-storming sessions extremely useful and value constructive feedback from others. We’re stronger together, so let’s work together!
- Authenticity is key: It’s not always easy being vulnerable, but ultimately I believe that being open and honest can be a gateway to meaningful change.

Noelle is the founder of Good Choice Initiative (GCI), an online sustainability hub that connects people in the Ottawa area with product and service-based businesses that share their social and environmental values. GCI’s directory features 105+ local businesses, from woman-owned to BIPOC-owned and social enterprises, and fosters a supportive network of likeminded businesses to collaborate and grow.
Robyn Lester supports new and existing small business owners through Rise’s Small Business Lending Program. Rise is a national organization dedicated to empowering people with mental health and addiction challenges to achieve greater social and economic inclusion through entrepreneurship.
