ElevateIP Program Benefits for Women-owned
and Indigenous-owned Businesses.

It’s your business

If you’re like most entrepreneurs, you’ve invested almost everything to create the something special that is the core of your business. It’s what makes your business unique. It’s your intellectual property – often called “IP” – and it’s worth protecting. In less than 30 minutes, your first steps of IP protection could be underway.

What is Intellectual Property (“IP”)

Intellectual Property (“IP”) are creations of the mind, like inventions, designs, and brand names. They can be legally owned and protected, which gives you the exclusive rights to use, sell, or license your work and, importantly, ensure that others can’t use it without your explicit permission.

Get ElevateIP Working for You

You could be eligible for financial support to register and manage your IP via a government-funded program called ElevateIP. ElevateIP helps companies like yours receive professional services and advisory to assist in understanding and managing your company’s intellectual property (IP). Women-owned and indigenous owned businesses that meet certain requirements could be eligible for additional funds.

The program covers most — and sometimes all — of the professional services fees for many aspects of intellectual property.
