Her Seat at the Table

This event is part of our Her Seat at the Table series, under Future Black Female’s WAGE-sponsored Black Women’s Economic Security (BWES) Project. We will be in Ottawa as we continue our work toward the economic emancipation of Black girls and women. This important initiative is led by Marsha Clyne, a dedicated champion of Future Black Female (FBF) and a strong advocate for women’s rights and advancement in Canada.

FBF has long aspired to strengthen our presence in the nation’s capital, a city that represents both influence and opportunity. Your presence would not only underscore the importance of governmental leadership in advancing gender and racial equity, but also affirm the lived realities and ambitions of the young women we serve. We would be honoured to have you join us.

The featured panel will focus on the persistent and intersecting barriers Black women face, including housing, youth unemployment, entrepreneurship challenges, and the need for collective action. These themes are strongly reflected in the findings from our BWES National Prosperity Survey, which informs the call for action in this vital conversation.

This event is not affiliated with Invest Ottawa and is independently organized by a third party.
