The Ottawa Responsible AI Summit (ORAIS 2026) is Canada’s premier convening for responsible AI, bringing together practitioners, policymakers, researchers, industry leaders, and civil society to move beyond principles toward what responsible AI governance actually looks like in practice. Under the theme “Responsible AI and Data Governance in Practice: Institutions, Systems, and Impact,” the summit examines governance, accountability, equity, and implementation across sectors and scales.
Now in its second year and building on a 2025 edition that convened 200+ leaders, ORAIS 2026 features keynotes, panels, workshops, applied case studies, and networking across two days. Day 1 (October 20) is the Summit Opening Reception at the Canadian Museum of History, exploring creativity, copyright, and AI. Day 2 (October 21) is the Main Summit at Bayview Yards, Invest Ottawa Campus, running 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
