Women’s health has long been an underinvested market, leaving significant unmet needs and untapped opportunities across healthcare. Today, a new generation of founders is building solutions in areas that have historically received too little attention and capital, creating a growing opportunity for investors to participate in shaping what comes next.
Co-hosted by Spring and Invest Ottawa, join us for an engaging session on the Femtech investment landscape, the opportunities emerging across women’s health, and what investors should know when considering companies in the space.
This session will include a candid fireside chat featuring:
- Caroline von Hirschberg, Co-CEO, Spring
- Julia Elvidge, Co-Founder, SheBoot
- Tarika Vijayaraghavan, Ph.D., Investment Associate, Spring
- Marisa Fosco, Director, Capital Angel Network
Together, we’ll explore:
- Where investment is happening across Femtech and which areas are gaining momentum
- Key considerations when evaluating and diligencing women’s health companies
- How investors can connect with and support the next generation of Femtech founders
Who should attend: Angel investors, VC and growth funds, family offices, LPs, and operators interested in exploring health or FemTech investing. Whether you’re looking at your first FemTech opportunity or already active in the space, this session is designed to give you a stronger understanding of the market and the opportunity ahead.
About wHealth Ignite
This event is part of wHealth Ignite, a first-of-its-kind, milestone-driven investment readiness program dedicated to women’s health innovation.
Delivered by Femtech Canada in partnership with Spring and Innovation Factory, with support from Google and the Morrissette Institute for Entrepreneurship at Western University, wHealth Ignite is an 8-month program supporting 10 high-potential, pre-seed and seed-stage Femtech ventures as they de-risk their path to market and prepare for their next fundraise. Founders receive curated access to expert consultants, investor feedback, and national exposure as they work toward key commercialization and fundraising milestones. The program will culminate in the opportunity for one venture to receive a $100,000 minimum equity investment, with investors brought together through Spring’s network and investment community.
At this event, you’ll get to learn more about the 10 founders selected for wHealth Ignite, connect with other investors interested in Femtech, and explore how you can get involved in supporting and investing in the next generation of women’s health innovation.
This event is not affiliated with Invest Ottawa and is independently organized by a third party.
