Hugh Dimock is with BDO’s Advisory Service Practice – providing services related to Scientific Research & Experimental Development (SR&ED) and other government incentives. He has extensive business experience, domestically and internationally in both large companies and start-ups. He has managed advanced technology aerospace and defence projects. He has also managed an environmental technology start-up company developing microbiological technologies. Hugh has been involved with the SR&ED program for many of the last 25 years – serving clients in areas such as aerospace, automotive, biotechnology, medical devices, clean-tech, and agriculture & food. Clients have ranged from small, Canadian-controlled companies to large multi-nationals.
David Douglas, CPA, CA
David has a well-developed knowledge of the Canadian government incentives and SR&ED environment. He has extensive experience working with large public as well as private owner managed businesses to assist them to take advantage of available tax credits, government grants and other incentive opportunities. In addition to this David has significant experience working with Canada Revenue Agency to resolve complex incentive tax issues. He is a frequent speaker and writer on the SR&ED and government incentive programs and regularly conducts workshops for his clients to provide them with current and relevant information regarding funding opportunities.
