At this critical juncture in our evolution as an economic development agency, and more broadly as a city, Invest Ottawa is developing a new five-year Strategic Plan. This plan will establish key long-term goals and actions that aim to: help our region capitalize on unprecedented technological, business and global market opportunities; catalyze innovation, job creation and the growth of our economy; and achieve the greatest potential economic and social benefits for our community.

Invest Ottawa hosted a competitive and criteria-driven Request for Proposals (RFP) to identify and select an external consulting firm to work closely with our team and the broad stakeholder community we serve on this important initiative. Building on initial ideas and information provided by Invest Ottawa, the selected firm will facilitate a strategic planning process that: identifies the greatest opportunities for growth, competitive advantage and impact; objectively gathers insight, ideas and recommendations from our many stakeholders; and works collaboratively with our team to create a strong and impactful five-year strategic plan alongside the delivery of our current programs and services.

Following a rigorous assessment of nine high-quality proposals by a six-member evaluation committee, Invest Ottawa is pleased announce Hazelton Innovation Group as the selected consulting firm to support the development of our five-year strategic plan. Hazelton brings more than 25 years of experience in strategic planning, new product, program and service innovation, and brand development with Fortune 500 companies, post-secondary institutions and non-profit corporations to this project.

Invest Ottawa extends sincere thanks to all proponents who submitted an application to our Strategic Plan RFP. We look forward to working with all members of our community on this important initiative for our region.
