73rd AGM/Gala of the IEEE Ottawa Section

The 2017 IEEE Ottawa Section Executives and Officers cordially invite you to your IEEE Ottawa Section Annual General Meeting and Banquet to engage in your Section’s business, with brilliant speakers, and other members and guests over a sit-down dinner.

The event takes place at the SHAW Centre Trillium Ballroom and includes an executive report, election of new officers, booth exhibits, entertainment, a three course dinner, award presentations, and keynote speakers. The event attracts 150+ composed of members of academia (including students), industry, and government.

This year’s theme is “Game Changers”, focusing on Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a catalyst to change everything, as well as highlighting those in the Ottawa Tech Community with game changing drive, attitude, and perseverance!

2017 Keynotes:

Robin Grosset, CTO of MindBirdge AI
Robin has over 20 years of experience in business analytics, has a track record as an entrepreneur, and is the Chief Technology Officer of MindBridge AI. As a Game Changer in the FinTech Industry, Robin will be speaking on the topic of “Using Artificial Intelligence to Take Down Fraud.”

Jeff LeJeune, VP Engineering of Magnet Forensics
Jeff LeJeune is leading Magnet Forensics, a Game Changing company built on a foundation of helping and empowerment in the area of digital investigative technology. Jeff will discuss how AI is “Bringing the Truth to Light” in digital forensics.
