In 2025, CCC and the UK Export Credit Finance (UKEF) signed an MoU to deepen the industrial partnerships between Canadian and UK companies in aerospace, defence, public infrastructure, clean energy and information technology. This strategic partnership enables eligible Canadian exporters to access the benefits of both UKEF financing and Canada’s government to government (G2G) contracting model, while supporting cross-border collaboration, reducing risk, and enabling complex defence procurements.
In this session, Wilson Pearce, Senior Director, Trade Strategy & Operations at CCC and Ozgur Kutay, Country-Head, Canada at UK Export Finance will discuss more about this relationship and how it will enable Canadian exporters to participate in major international defence projects.
What You’ll Learn:
- How CCC’s G2G contracting model strengthens Canadian exporters’ access to global markets.
- The roles of CCC, UKEF, and Export Development Canada (EDC) in enabling financing and risk mitigation
- European defence market developments, including implications of the EU’s SAFE initiative for Canadian firms
- The UKEF’s Early Project Support Facility and how it can help projects get off the ground
- Real-world examples of successful UKEF-supported projects
- When and how to leverage CCC and UKEF support for international defence projects
