Disability Inclusion in the Workplace

Join EARN and Invest Ottawa in a unique event addressing disability inclusion in the workplace. We will hear from a panel of speakers who can speak to the various facets of accessibility and inclusion at work. The panel discussion will be moderated by Anna-Karina Tabuñar.

The panelists will include:

• Joël Dazé who is a co-team lead for the employer liaison team and adaptive technology specialist at Performance Plus Rehabilitative Care Inc. He seeks to collaborate with clients and prospective employers to create opportunities for sustainable employment for persons with disabilities.

• Nadim Ladha is a Human Resources Business Partner with the Royal Bank of Canada and provides strategic advice to the Regional President and the Ontario North & East (ONE) leaders on Human Resources matters. These include Talent Management & Leadership Development, Workforce Planning, Health & Safety, Diversity & Inclusion, Employee Engagement and Change Management.

• Ali Rose is a Learning Strategist with Algonquin College’s Center for Accessible Learning (CAL). Her mission is to promote strength-based approaches in working with the gifts of neuro-diverse, disAbled populations and to recognize their value in educational systems, workplaces, and society at large.

The goal of this event is to raise awareness in the Ottawa business and tech community and facilitate introductions between employers and resources for disability inclusion.
