Design & Innovation in the LRT
Our green presentation will be from the City of Ottawa’s Marc Magierowicz who will be taking us through the various elements of the new LRT project with a specific look at areas of innovation from a design and environmental perspective. Marc’s focus of work is in urban planning and design with a lens towards sustainable urban policies, practices and development.

At the City of Ottawa, he has worked in the Development Review Branch and has been seconded to work on both Stage 1 and Stage 2 of the Light Rail Projects. He actively is working to shift the culture towards ‘green’ development and has spoken at several events promoting various sustainable causes over the years. He also sits on the Canada Green Building Council – Ottawa Chapter, Advisory Board as the Vice Chair.
