We’re inviting community members to talk openly about housing: what’s been difficult, what’s missing, and what kind of home or neighbourhood would genuinely support your daily life. Many people are navigating unstable or unaffordable housing, or living in spaces that simply don’t fit their needs — and these experiences deserve to be heard.

During this session, we’ll explore how home design, community layout, and shared amenities can impact comfort, connection, and overall wellbeing. We’ll also share early ideas for village-style communities and gather perspectives that will help us refine and improve these concepts.

Anyone who has struggled with housing, is planning their next move, or is curious about new ways of living is welcome to join. Your lived experience will help shape what future communities in the Ottawa region — and beyond — could look like.
