International Women’s Day Inclusive Leadership Training Session

Hosted by Canadian Women in Ocean Industries Leadership (CWOIL) and Women in Resource Development Corporation (WRDC)

Research has shown us that to engage diverse talent, build inclusive leaders, and foster an innovative, courageous, and equitable culture, we must start at the top.

Leadership is about influencing others through personal attributes and behaviours. As leaders, we are responsible for generating trust, building authentic relationships, and effective teams. It is vital that we lead by example and inspire excellence in others. Inclusive leaders understand the importance of diversity and inclusion in engaging their workforce and in creating a safe, respectful work environment.

WRDC’s Inclusive Leadership workshop is for people leaders and managers who aim to create a highly diverse, inclusive, equitable and high-performance culture. This session will provide an overview of:

* Equity, diversity and inclusion
* The qualities, traits and aims of an inclusive leader
* The five models of inclusive leadership
* The business case for inclusive leadership and
* The importance of understanding and mitigating unconscious bias to engage, create and leading diverse teams
