It is a two-step process, step one collecting basic company information, step two going into more detail on the company’s success story, finances, customer experience and community involvement.

Small business is the engine of economic growth. That is particularly true in Ottawa, where companies are typically small and agile.

These small businesses have very specific needs. Access to capital, technological change, shifting customer demand and human resources pose significant barriers to growth.

The Small Business Summit is a new event from the Ottawa Board of Trade and Ottawa Business Journal that is specifically aimed at local small business owners and operators.

The event aims to provide small businesses with the latest information to help them succeed in a challenging environment.

The conference spans two days, beginning with a networking cocktail, the first ever Small Business Awards and inspirational keynote. Day two starts with a continental breakfast and continues to 4 pm, a jam-packed day of keynotes, panels and presentations from thought-leaders attuned to the needs of small business.
