Invest Ottawa is privileged to host this special hybrid Capital Pride community networking lunch and fireside chat in collaboration with The Enchanté Network, a national organization dedicated to connecting and supporting 2Spirit and LGBTQ+ communities across Canada.
Calling all 2SLGBTQ+ community members, entrepreneurs, leaders, business owners, champions and allies! This event is specifically designed to help you make meaningful connections with fellow leaders as we come together as a collaborative community to celebrate our Capital Pride.
Please join us on Monday, August 22 from 11:30 AM -1:30 PM EST at Bayview Yards, Ottawa’s Innovation Hub, for a very special hybrid community event featuring a presentation, fireside chat, and networking lunch with special guests, including:
• Adam Dewar, Director of the Americas and Communications Technology, Global Expansion, Invest Ottawa; and
It’s all free and all are welcome!
11:30 AM – Welcome and network with your fellow leaders and community members with beats provided by DJ Seizzi along with signature iced beverages provided by 2SLGBTQ+ owned, Little Joe Berry’s, a café built on community and friendship.
- 12:00 PM – Hybrid event commences: Opening remarks from Sonya Shorey, Vice President of Strategy Marketing, Communications, Invest Ottawa, and RBC, premier sponsor of Invest Ottawa and DE&I champion.
12:05 PM – Special presentation and fireside chat moderated by Invest Ottawa’s own, Adam Dewar, Director of the Americas and Communications Technology featuring Enchanté Network Executive Director, Tyler Boyce, and eSentire’s Field CTO and Chief Cyber Risk Strategist, Tia Hopkins
12:35 PM – Thank you and closing remarks from Michael Tremblay, President and CEO, Invest Ottawa: Hybrid event concludes
12:40 PM to 1:30 PM – Network and socialize with your fellow leaders and community members, beats by DJ Seizzi and enjoy a complimentary curated vegetarian and vegan lunch provided by 2SLGBTQ+ owned Little Joe Berry’s featuring a variety of salads, sandwiches, freshly baked treats and iced beverages (to cool you off!)
Virtual Attendance: For any individuals who would like to join our Capital Pride event virtually, an event link will be shared via email (through Eventbrite) prior to the event day.
Parking: Free parking is available in the gravel lot adjacent to the Bayview Yards at 7 Bayview Station Road, as well as many of the neighbouring streets. We also have three free electric charging stations available in the paved lot beside our building.
Alternative Modes of Transportation: Bayview Yards is located at the nexus of the city’s O-Train line and the Bayview Light Rail Transit station. It is a short walk from this station to our innovation hub.
We also have bicycle racks available if you would like to put the pedal to the metal and bring your wheels to Bayview Yards.

The mission of Capital Pride is to create opportunities to celebrate, advocate, educate and connect people, respecting the full diversity of the 2SLGBTQ+ community.
Following two years of virtual celebrations, the Capital Pride Festival returns from Sunday, August 21, to Sunday, August 28, 2022. This year’s theme is All Together Now and speaks to the community reuniting to celebrate and advocate. This impactful week features a line-up of great events, free outdoor concerts, the street festival and the annual Pride Parade.
This is the opportunity to reconnect and celebrate the full of diversity of the 2SLGBTQ+ community! At the same time, Pride is rooted in activism. When everyone comes together, they reflect on the challenges communities face and progress that has been achieved and we continue to advocate for action locally and around the world. Capital Pride believes our communities are stronger when we are all together.

The Enchanté Network is a national network connecting and supporting nearly 200 pride centres and 2SLGBTQI+ service providers across Canada.
