About the workshop
This presentation will go over the coverages needed in order to best protect your business. Different industries and small businesses will have a need for different forms of coverage and this presentation will provide current and future small business owners of how to best protect their businesses. General and professional liability, property, environmental, cyber and directors and officers insurance are some different coverages that will be highlighted throughout the presentation. The goal of the presentation is to provide a clearer picture to the audience of how to best protect their businesses through describing the coverages and providing claims examples as well. Finally, there will be time allocated at the end of the presentation for questions.
About the speaker
Adam Beattie has been working for Cowan Insurance in the small business department since February of 2022. Adam went to school at Brock University for physical education before teaching English and physical education in South Korea for 14 years from 2006-2020. From 2008-2020, he taught at Kyungil University in the foreign language and sports departments. He completed his Masters and Physical and Health Education from the University of Wollongong in Australia in 2013. In 2020, his family returned to Canada and he looked for a career change.
