Noibu ranks high on Deloitte’s Technology Fast Company lists
Noibu is celebrating tremendous success with its most recent win being recognized as a winner in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50™ (2nd) and Deloitte Technology Fast 500™ Company (12th) for its rapid revenue growth, bold innovation efforts, and exceptional entrepreneurial spirit.
Noibu is an e-commerce monitoring platform that helps businesses detect, prioritize, and resolve revenue-impacting errors on their website. But it didn’t begin that way.
Noibu was founded in 2017 by Robert Boukine, Kailin Noivo, and Filip Slatinac, who originally created the company as a virtual shopping SaaS application for retailers. After two years of hard work, the founders recognized the need for a pivot and made the decision to launch a product to solve a pain point in the eCommerce space.
Fast-forward to today: Noibu has grown from $0 and half a dozen full-time employees at launch in 2019 to multi-millions in annual recurring revenue and more than 80 current FTEs. All three of its original co-founders remain actively involved in the company, with Boukine as CEO, Noivo as President, and Slatinac as CTO.
In a joint statement, Noibu’s co-founders Robert Boukine, Kailin Noivo, and Filip Slatinac said, “Noibu’s growth journey is a product of our team’s relentless commitment toward excellence and innovation in redefining the e-commerce monitoring landscape. Alongside that achievement, Noibu placed 8th on The Globe and Mail’s top growing companies of 2023 and has repeatedly scored high on Invest Ottawa’s ScaleUp eNPS service – a core element of the ScaleUp program, offered semi-annually to companies who participate in the program.

Ottawa-based tech company Body M3canix experiences rapid growth
Body M3canix, Inc., is an Ottawa-based wearable performance management company that has been showing great potential. Since its inception in Ottawa, the company has grown rapidly by adding five new employees in the third quarter of 2023 and four new hires in the following months, propelling the company’s full-time employee count to 11.
Founded in 2020 in Ottawa, Body M3canix designs and manufactures data-driven devices for athletes and health-conscious individuals to help them with performance enhancements, injury reduction, and an increase in health and well-being.
Recently, Body M3canix closed two new manufacturing contracts with a renowned Montreal electronics assembler by brokering manufacturing exclusivity for their Atalanta device, and a new injection moulding tool from another high-tech manufacturer in Montreal, as well as exclusive rights to inject the device. Securing these contracts cements Atalanta as a 100% Canadian-made and managed innovation.
With Ottawa’s flourishing tech ecosystem, diverse tech talent pool, and proximity to government and industry resources, many promising start-ups are choosing this city.
Invest Ottawa has been supporting Body M3canix since the company began its journey in the capital of Canada and the Global Expansion team played a pivotal role in the success and growth of the company by connecting Body M3canix with resources, including financial, legal, and business development.
In addition to that, Body M3canix is an IO Ignition graduate, is actively involved in IO Flex, and has been supported by Invest Ottawa’s talent team to grow its headcount.
Now that Body M3canix has been well-established in Ottawa, the company is focusing on growing further, and Invest Ottawa will continue to support the company in its future endeavours.

Another business pitch – and another win for Katrice Justice
Congratulations to Katrice Bent for successfully securing one of the $5,000 grand prizes for her business at the March 4th Black Entrepreneurship Pitch event by the Federation of Black Canadians.
Her business, Katrice Justice, was launched in 2022 with a mission to make financial education accessible to people from all walks of life. By simplifying complex financial topics, Katrice aims to help young Canadians achieve their financial goals and be financially independent.
Late last year, Katrice graduated from the most recent cohort of Starter Company Plus, where she worked to develop the plan for her business, and a pitch for her business, which also earned her a $5,000 grant to take it to the next level!
Katrice is also a graduate of Summer Company, another high-impact Ontario government program delivered by the Invest Ottawa Entrepreneurship Team that provides students aged 15-29 training, mentorship and funding opportunities to build and run a business over the summer break.
With the recent pitching win under her belt, Katrice now hopes to move into the final round of another competition, the Black Pitch Contest offered by the Black Entrepreneurs and Businesses of Canada Society – where 15 finalists will compete for $25,000 in funding.
Winners will be announced at the Black Business Summit, which will be held at the Emily Carr University of Art + Design on May 24-25, 2024. Best of luck, Katrice!
