About this workshop:
In this 60 minute workshop, you’ll be introduced to the rapidly growing world of digital nomads. Accelerated by workplaces shifts during the COVID-19 pandemic, there have never been more opportunities to work and live in ways that are drastically different from the 9 to 5, location-locked, school-work-retire lifestyles that dominated the last century. Digital nomads embrace the ability to work from anywhere and to design a life on our terms. For Canadian digital nomads, we now have the ability to work remotely while travelling domestically anywhere within Canada, and to live and work internationally in a wide range of locations, for long stretches of time. Moreover, with the exciting announcement of Digital Nomad Visas here in Canada, there are now exciting opportunities for a wide range of communities to attract talented digital nomads to their ecosystems.
About the speaker:
Presented by The Maker’s Collective, who provide a range of educational offers for entrepreneurs and digital nomads, Digital Nomad 101 will introduce you to the broad spectrum of digital nomad lifestyles that are popular heading into 2024. The workshop will also dive into why this trend of digital nomad-ing has taken off, and then you will be provided with a detailed overview of how you can get started on your digital nomad journey. Finally, there will be a live Panel Discussion + Q&A with The Maker’s Collective team, where you’ll learn more about their digital nomad experiences, while having the opportunity to engage in a discussion about your digital nomad journey.
Agenda + Overview:
- What is a Digital Nomad? An introduction to the world of Digital Nomads and an overview of the Digital Nomad Spectrum, which will help the broad range of aspiring Digital Nomads to see themselves within this context.
