This seminar will cover contract law basics, including contract formation, common types of commercial contracts, typical contract clauses, drafting pitfalls, commonly litigated business clauses, and effects of breach of contract.
About the speakers – Marina Abrosimov & Mark Fortier-Brynaert:
As a corporate and commercial lawyer, Marina provides clients with a wide range of services, including assisting in acquisition and sale of businesses, commercial leasing, business formation and governance, as well as drafting and reviewing a variety of commercial contracts. In addition, she advises both franchisees and franchisors on franchise agreements and disclosure requirements.
Mark is a member of the business law, franchise law, estate litigation and wills and estates practice groups. On the business side, he assists clients with the acquisition or sale of a business, incorporation and reorganization, governance advice regarding for-profit corporations and not-for-profit corporations and the review of a wide variety of business contracts.
